A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK CALIFORNIA
CASTING VOTE FOR MAYOR/COUNCILMEMBER VALERIE MUNOZ
TO REPRESENT CITIES WITHOUT PRESCRIPTIVE WATER
PUMPING RIGHTS ON THE BOARD OF THE
SAN GABRIEL BASIN WATER QUALITY AUTHORITY
WHEREAS, on September 22, 1992, Senate Bill 1679 was signed into law by Governor
Pete Wilson authorizing the creation of the San Gabriel Basin Water Quality Authority;
and
WHEREAS, the Board of the San Gabriel Basin Water Quality Authority is composed of
seven members with three appointed members from each of the three municipal water
districts, one elected city council person from cities in the San Gabriel Basin with
prescriptive water pumping rights, one elected city council person from cities in the San
Gabriel Basin without prescriptive water pumping rights, and two members representing
water producers in the San Gabriel Basin and;
WHEREAS, the City of Baldwin Park is one of the cities in the San Gabriel Basin
without prescriptive water pumping rights; and
WHEREAS, on October 19, 2016, the City Council of Baldwin Park, by Resolution No.
2016-154, nominated Mayor/Councilmember Valerie Munuz to serve as its as
representative. .‘
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK,
CALIFORNIA DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park hereby casts its vote
for Mayor/ Councilmember Valerie Munuz as the representative for
cities in the San Gabriel Basin without prescriptive water pumping
rights.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 16st day of November, 2016.

the foregoing Resolution No. 2016-156 was duly and regularly approved and adopted
by the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park at a regular meeting held November 16,
