A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK
APPROVING THE ADOPTION OF A RESOLUTION OF INTENT BETWEEN
THE BOARD OF ADMINISTRATION OF THE PUBLIC EMPLOYEES'
RETIREMENTS SYSTEM AND THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK
WHEREAS, the City of Baldwin Park participates in the Public Employees' Retirement
System by the execution of a contract and the Public Employees' Retirement Law which
sets for the procedures by which public agencies may elect to subject themselves and their
employees to amendments to said law; and
WHEREAS, one of the steps in the procedures to amend the contract is the adoption, by
participating governing bodies, of a resolution giving notice of its intention to approve an
amendment to said contract, which resolution shall contain a summary of the change
proposed in said contract; and
WHEREAS, attached hereto is the Resolution of Intent identified as Exhibit "A" and an
exhibit copy of the Amendment to Contract identified as Exhibit "B."
NOW THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Baldwin
Park does hereby approve and adopt Exhibit "A," the Resolution of Intent and Exhibit "B,"
the exhibit copy of the Amendment to Contract.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this 7th day of December, 2016.

foregoing Resolution No. 2016-161 was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of
Baldwin Park at a regular meeting thereof held on December 7, 2016 and that the same
