BALDWIN PARK CITY COUNCIL STUDY SESSION
AND SPECIAL MEETING

CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 5:35 p.m. by Mayor Lozano.

Mayor Lozano opened Public Communications at 5:35 p.m.
Seeing no one wishing to speak, Public Communications closed at 5:35 p.m.
OPEN SESSION
1. PRESENTATION OF CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT BUDGET FY 2017-2018
Presentation by Chief Executive Officer Shannon Yauchzee and Finance Director Rose Tam
to review proposed Capital Improvement Projects and the Capital Improvement Project
Budget for Fiscal Year 2017-2018
Chief Executive Officer Shannon Yauchzee narrated a PowerPoint presentation,
highlighting progress on existing capital improvement projects and discussing proposed
new capital improvement projects for approval in the Capital Improvement Project
Budget Fiscal Year 2017-2018.
Chief Executive Officer Yauchzee and Finance Director Rose Tam responded to
questions from Council.
Staff members responded to Council inquiries, providing status updates on some
phased projects, possible funding sources for projects Council would like explored and
clarification on projects identified in the proposed budget.
In conclusion, staff committed to seeking grant funds to supplement budgets for various
. projects.

There being no further business, motion was made by Lozano, seconded by Rubio, to adjourn
the meeting at 7:03 p.m.

Mayor Lozano reported out of Closed Session that, by a vote of 5–0, ouncil selected Laura
Thomas as the new Human Resources Manager.
