A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BALDWIN PARK ACCEPTING STATE OF CALIFORNIA •
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION GRANT FUNDS FROM THE
SYSTEMIC SAFETY ANALYSIS REPORT PROGRAM (SSARP)TO
CONDUCT A CITYWIDE TRAFFIC SAFETY STUDY AND
AMENDING THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (CIP)
BUDGET TO INCORPORATE THE STUDY
WHEREAS,the State of California Department of Transportation has made funds
available to the City of Baldwin Park, California ("the City") from the Systemic Safety
Analysis Report Program (SSARP) in the amount of$121,500 for a citywide traffic col-
lision analysis report to prioritize future roadway and intersection projects; and
WHEREAS, the City of Baldwin Park is eligible to receive State funding from the
Systemic Safety Analysis Report Program (SSARP) and proposes to include the
Project in the City's 2017-18 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Budget; and
WHEREAS, the City Council delegates authorization to approve the submittal of
grant application documents and amendments thereto to the City Manager or designee;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to accept the grant funds the State of Califor-
nia Department of Transportation.
• NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager or designee is authorized to accept any awarded
grant funds from the SSARP and to execute all necessary implementing agreements
with the State of California Department of Transportation.
SECTION 2. The CIP budget for FY 2017-18 is amended to incorporate the Sys-
temic Safety Analysis Report Program (SSARP)for a citywide traffic collision analysis
report to prioritize future roadway and intersection improvement projects.
SECTION 3. The Capital Budget for fiscal year 2017-18 is amended as follows:
a. Appropriate $121,500 in SSARP grant funding for a citywide traffic
collision analysis report to prioritize future roadway and intersection
projects.
b. Appropriate$13,500 from the Traffic Congestion Relief Fund for the
required local match.

SECTION 4. The City agrees to comply with all requirements for the grant pro-
gram including any extension or amendments thereof and that the funds will be
appropriated as required thereby. .
