RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN
PARK ADOPTING THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN CITY OF BALDWIN
PARK AND SAM GUTIERREZ, DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS
WHEREAS, the City of Baldwin Park is a general law city that operates under
Government Code Section 36505; and
WHEREAS, the City of Baldwin Park, a municipal corporation (called "City"),
through its City Council (called "City Council"), and Sam Gutierrez, Public Works Director,
made and entered into an agreement on July 18, 2018 and has attached said Agreement
to this resolution as Exhibit A with the date, July 18, 2018; and
WHEREAS, the City of Baldwin Park is authorized to fix the compensation of all
appointive officers and employees of the City including but not limited to the Public Works
Director; and
WHEREAS, on June 20, 2018, the City Council appointed Sam Gutierrez to the
position of Public Works Director.
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park adopts Resolution No.
2018-278 to approve the Agreement between Sam Gutierrez and the City of Baldwin
Park.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this 18th day of July 2018.

I, ALEJANDRA AVILA, City Clerk of the City of Baldwin Park do hereby certify that the
foregoing Resolution No. 2018-278 was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of
Baldwin Park at a regular meeting thereof held on July 18, 2018 and that the same was
adopted by the following vote to wit:
