Pacific Avenue, Baldwin Park, 91706 CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 5:30 pm by Mayor Lozano. ROLL CALL PRESENT: Council Member Alejandra Avila Council Member Paul C. Hernandez Council Member Ricardo Pacheco arrived to the meeting at 5:33 pm. Mayor Manuel Lozano ABSENT: Mayor Pro Tem Monica Garcia PUBLIC COMMUNICATIONS Mayor Lozano opened Public Communications at 5:31 pm. Seeing no one wishing to speak, Mayor Lozano closed Public Communications at 5:31 pm. OPEN SESSION • CIP Budget Presentation Presented by Director of Finance Rose Tam and Director of Public Works Sam Gutierrez Director of Public Works Sam Gutierrez provided a power presentation relating to the CIP Budget per departments demands. Council Member Hernandez asked how much money would be needed to cover costs from the General Fund. Director of Finance Rose Tam stated $111,000 would be absorbed by the general fund. Council Member Pacheco inquired when the downtown beautification project would be completed. Mr. Gutierrez stated they projected to place this project out to bid in February. Special Meeting of 09/4/19 Page 1 of 4 Mayor Lozano asked whether repairs would be conducted from Los Angeles to Arrow Hwy. Mr. Gutierrez provided an overview of the repairs scheduled for the street in question. Further discussion was held regarding future repairs and the collaborative effort staff had with various agencies to ensure street repairs were not disturbed; conversation was held pertaining to affordable housing developments and comments were made regarding the estimated time of completion for the marquee at the park. Mr. Gutierrez thanked all of the department heads, staff and interns for their hard work and dedication and further thanked the City Council for their continued support. The City Council recessed into closed session at 5:53 p.m. RECESS TO CLOSED SESSION 1.
