A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BALDWIN PARK, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING THE
RECERTIFICATION OF THE 2019 TITLE VI PROGRAM
WHEREAS, The City of Baldwin Park updated its 2019 Title VI Program for
recertification and to be in compliance with 49 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Section
21.9(b) and Federal Transit Administration (FTA)which requires recipients to prepare and
submit an FTA Title VI Program and updates once every three (3) years to Los Angeles
County MTA; and
WHEREAS, Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 provides that "no person in the
United States shall, on the grounds of race, color, or national origin, be excluded from
participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any
program or activity receiving federal funds; and
WHEREAS, Title VI Program will improve access to transit services to persons
with limited English proficiency (LEP).
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK
HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park, California, hereby
directs the Director of Public Works to implement Title VI Program requirements to comply
with FTA Civil Rights Requirements for the City's Transit Program as described in the
City's Title VI Program document attached hereto.
Section 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.

at a regular meeting thereof held on August 7, 2019 and that the same was adopted by
