The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park met in ad- journed regular session at the above place at 11:30 a.m. Roll Call: Present: COUNCILMEN BLOXHAM, HOLMES, ROLL CALL LITTLE JOHN AND MAYOR BISHOP Absent: COUNCILMAN COLE, CITY TREASURER PUGH, CITY ATTORNEY SAUNDERS, AND PLANNING DIRECTOR MANSFIELD Also Present: CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER ASMUS AND CITY CLERK BALKUS 00- Chief Administrative Officer Asmus stated that one of the RE PROPOSED HOUSE ordinances to be considered is that of house relocations RELOCATION ORDI- and made reference to Section 7205 relevant to the lack of NANCE. provision for cash deposit in lieu of bond, and Section 7207 relevant to the provision that the Planning Commission may waive one or more of the requirements of the Ordinance upon a proper showing" wherein he wondered how much authority Council wanted to give the Planning Commission in this instance and also queried as to the intent of the ordinance. As a matter of record, Councilman Cole arrived at 11:42 a.m. ARRIVAL OF COUNCIL- MAN COLE. Considerable discussion followed relevant to: The source DISCUSSION. of content of this ordinance; what type of control other cities exercise; whether or not a relocation ordinance is necessary; the amount that would be sufficient for bond or cash deposit... suggested amounts ranged from $3,000.00- $10,000.00; whether or not the Planning Commission should have the right to waive fees; the matter of applications for moving buildings and structures being accompanied by archi- tectural plans; the matter of termite inspections; the time element regarding appeal to the City Council as per Section 7211; and the matter of tree trimming as set forth under Section 7203. Chief Administrative Officer Asmus stated that he would have this ordinance prepared and ready for adoption at the next meeting of Council. 00- i Chief Administrative Officer Asmus stated that the next RE PROPOSED TRUCK proposed ordinance for discussion is the truck ordinance.
