BALKUS, CITY CLERK BIB] 39556-U01 1963-U02 01-U02 16-U02 CC-U02 MIN-U02 LI1-U03 FO9994-U03 FO115492-U03 DO116644-U03 C4-U03 MINUTES1-U03 4/17/2008-U04 ROBIN-U04 CITY-U06 COUNCIL-U06 1963 01 16 CC MINHÄ—@¸—&]Í«1004 SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BALDN IN PARK CITY COUNC I L CITY HALL COUNCIL CHAMBER) 14403 East Pacific Avenue The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park met in special session at the above place at 11:00a.m. Roll Call: Present: COUNCILMEN BLOXHAM, HOLMES, MOREHEAD, TAYLOR AND MAYOR BISHOP Absent: CITY ATTORNEY FLANDRiCK, CITY TREASURER PUGH, ACTING CITY ENGINEER NILCH AND ASSISTANT PLANNING DIRECTOR i?RITZMAN Also Present: ACTING CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER AND CITY CLERK BALKUS 00- Mayor Bishop announced that this was a special meeting of the City Council with three Items on the agenda: Regarding Appointment of Chief Administrative Officer, Appointment of Building Superintendent, and Resolutions reactivating Revolving Fund and authorizing signatures. 00- The Council indicated that they had received notice of this special meeting at least twenty-four hours prior to the meeting. 00- Discussion followed concerning hiring a man as combination Building Superintendent and Planning Director and another man in the capacity of Building Inspector so that the City would have two Building Inspectors in the field full time for inspections. The Council mentioned that in consolidating these Departments other personnel would include an Assistant Planning Director and two clerical positions; and that larger quarters for these Departments should be considered. Acting Chief Administrative Officer Balkus stated that an Oral Board consisting of three Building Superintendents of neighboring cities interviewed five applicants for the position of Building Superintendent on Tuesday, January 15, 1963. The Council indicated that the person holding the position of Building Superintendent and Planning Director would be required to attend the Planning Commission and City Council meetings; and that the Council along with the Chief Aeminis- trative Officer should meet in a personnel session to interview the applicants and discuss the requirements of the positions. 00- The Council discussed appointing Mr. Clifford Albert Nordby as Chief Administrative Officer. NO. 63-9 Resolution No. 63-9 by title as follows: REESTABL ISHING REVOLVING FUND RESOLUTION NO. 63-9 PURSUANT TO SECTION 2501 OF B.PK. MUN. A RESOLUTION OF THE C I I'Y COUNCIL OF CODE, DESIGNATING THE CITY OF BALDNIN PARK REESTABLISH- PERSONS AUTHORIZED ING THE REVOLVING FUND PURSUANT TO TO SIGN WARRANTS SECTION 2401 OF THE BALD4NIN PARK RELATING THERETO, MUN!CiPAL CODE, DESIGNATING HE PER- AND REPEALING ALL SONS AUTHORIZED TO SIGN WARRANTS RE- RESOLUTIONS AND LATING THERETO, AND REPEALING ALL AUTHORIZATIONS IN- RESOLUTIONS AND AUTHORIZATIONS IN- CONSISTENT HEREWITH CONSISTENT HEREWITH" COUNCILMAN MOREHEAD MOVED THAT RESOLUTION NO. 63-9 BE RES.
