The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park met in ad- journed regular session at the above place at 11:00 a.m. Roll Call: Present: COUNCILMEN HOLMES, TAYLOR AND ROLL CALL MAYOR BISHOP Absent: COUNCILMEN BLOXHAM AND MORE- HEAD, CITY ATTORNEY FLANDRICK, CITY TREASURER PUGH, ACTING CITY ENGINEER WELCH-AND PLANNING DIRECTOR AND BUILDING SUPERINTENDENT KALBFLEISCH Also Present: CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER NORDBY, FINANCE DIRECTOR DUNCAN AND CITY CLERK BALKUS City Clerk Balkus presented a claim against the City of CLAIM Baldwin Park by Arthur J. Williams, 11503 Asher Street, ARTHUR J. WILLIAMS El Monte. COUNCILMAN HOLMES MOVED THAT THE CLAIM OF ARTHUR J. WILLIAMS MOTION MADE AND BE DENIED AND REFERRED TO THE INSURANCE CARRIER. COUNCIL- CARRIED THAT CLAIM WOMAN TAYLOR SECONDED. The motion carried by the following OF ARTHUR J. WILLIAMS vote: BE DENIED AND RE- FERRED TO THE AYES: COUNCILMEN HOLMES, TAYLOR AND INSURANCE CARRIER MAYOR BISHOP NOES: NONE ABSENT: COUNCILMEN BLOXHAM AND MOREHEAD 00- City Clerk Balkus presented a summons which was served on the RE SUMMONS SERVED City of Baldwin Park on April I, 1963 In connection with the ON CITY IN CONNEC- claim of Evelyn Williams which was presented to the City TION WITH CLAIM Council July 2, 1962. OF EVELYN WILLIAMS Mayor Bishop stated that NO ACTION was REQUIRED. NO ACTION REQUIRED City Clerk Balkus presented Resolution No. 63-42 contain- RES. NO. 63-42 Ing Warrant Numbers 1531 and 1532. Councilman Holmes asked If Ivor Lyons statement for Sewer STATEMENT FROM IVOR District 62-A-I In the amount of $23,600.00 had been checked LYONS AND ASSOCIATES in relation to the H.H.F.A., with the attorneys of the dis- 62-A-I AMOUNT OF trict and the City Attorney. $23,600.00 Chief Administrative Officer Nordby stated that he had not checked with the federal agency involved since it was an advance and the payment was made In accordance with the contract the City has with Ivor Lyons and Associates; that the bill had been reviewed with the City Attorney and Mr. Schreiner of O'Melveny & Myers, Special Counsel for the District. He stated that Mr. Schreiner had approved the O'MELVENY & MYERS billing for payment; that it was In accordance with the APPROVED BILLING contract with Ivor Lyons and Associates and that the FOR PAYMENT City Attorney had also approved the billing for payment. Councilman Holmes checked the original billing from Ivor Lyons and Associates dated March 28, 1963 which had a notation by Mr. Urban Schreiner dated April 4, 1963 OK for payment". I Discussion regarding the assignments involved. COUNCILMAN HOLMES MOVED THAT RESOLUTION NO. 63-42 BE AP- PROVED IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF $23,637.20 AND FURTHER READING BE WAIVED. COUNCILWOMAN TAYLOR SECONDED. The motion carried by the following vote: AYES: COUNCILMEN HOLMES, TAYLOR AND MAYOR BISHOP NOES: NONE ABSENT: COUNCILMEN BLOXHAM AND MOREHEAD 00- Mayor Bishop discussed transportation regarding his trip to Sacramento on Tuesday, April 9, 1963. 00- At the request of Mayor Bishop, City Clerk Balkus read Resolution No. 63-42 by title as follows: RESOLUTION NO. 63-42 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDNIN PARK ALLONING CLAIMS AND DEMANDS AGAINST THE CITY OF BALDN IN PARK" COUNCILMAN HOLMES MOVED THAT RESOLUTION NO. 63-42 BE APPROVED AND FURTHER READING BE WAIVED. COUNCILWOMAN TAYLOR SECONDED. The motion carried by the following vote: AYES: COUNCILMEN HOLMES, TAYLOR AND MAYOR BISHOP NOES: NONE ABSENT: COUNCILMEN BLOXHAM AND MOREHEAD 00- AT 11:23 A.M. COUNCILMAN HOLMES MOVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL ADJOURN. COUNCILWOMAN TAYLOR SECONDED.
