COUNCILMAN BISHOP SECONDED. The motion carried by the following vote: AYES: COUNCILMEN HOLMES, BISHOP, TAYLOR AND MAYOR BLOXHAM NOES: NONE ABSENT: COUNCILMAN MOREHEAD 00- COUNCILW AN TAYLOR h WED THAT COUNCILMAN MOREHEAD BE EXCUSED. COUNCILMAN BISHOP SECONDED. There were no objections, the motion carried and was so ordered by Mayor Bloxham. 00- Chief Administrative Officer Nordby reviewed his report regarding the submission of a $200,000,000 bond Issue to the electorate on the November ballot. Attached to the report was a letter from the Board of Supervisors dated March 18, 1964 regarding this matter and a Storm Drain Deficiency Survey of the Los Angeles County Flood Con- trol District, December 1963. He stated the proposed apportionment of flood control bond money was actually based on each community's ability to pay back a share of the principal and interest on the bond issue; that It would seem to be a reasonable and sensible approach to establish priorities and allocate construction funds to those areas where the most critical needs exist. MTG. Chief Administrative Officer Nordby reported regarding the REQUEST FOR PAINT persons Citrus Municipal Court was sending to the City to TO PAINT POLICE DEPT work out their sentence. He stated that the insurance COFFEE ROOM AND matter was being worked on at the present time. He stated SQUAD ROOM that the Police Department, coffee room and squad room needed painting; that there was a man assigned by the Court for this week and next week who was willing to do the painting; that the estimate for paint from last July) was $74.39 including tax. Finance Director Duncan suggested that an amount be approved not to exceed $100.00. Discussion followed. COUNCILMAN HOLMES MOVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL APPROVE THE MOTION MADE AND PURCHASE OF PAINT TO PAINT THE LOllER LEVEL OF THE CITY HALL, CARRIED THAT CITY USING THE EXTRA LABOR, NOT TO EXCEED $100.00. COUNCILMAN COUNCIL APPROVE BISHOP SECONDED. The motion carried by the following PURCHASE OF PAINT vote: TO PAINT LAMER LEVEL OF CITY HALL, AYES: COUNCILMEN HOLMES, BISHOP, TAYLOR USING EXTRA LABOR, AND MAYOR BLOXHAM AND NOT TO EXCEED NOES: NONE $100.00 ABSENT: COUNCILMAN MOREHEAD Councilman Holmes complimented the Finance Director and the Chief Administrative Officer for being on the conserva- tive side in watching for expenditures that did not happen to be in the budgetary procedures. 00- Chief Administrative Officer Nordby stated that he had a tetterLETTER FROM S. L. dated March i9, 1964, from Mr. S L. Yount, Chief Engineer, YOUNT, CHIEF ENGR., of Consolidated Rock Products Company, indicating their CONSOLIDATED ROCK permission to use their property on the easterly side of PRODUCTS CO. Alderson Avenue between Los Angeles Street and Ramona Boulevard for the purpose of storing sweeper cleanings on three conditions, which he read. Discussion followed. COUNCILMAN HOLMES MOVED THAT THE PROPER OFFICIALS BE AUTHORIZED TO SIGN THE AGREEMENT FOR THE DUMPING PRIVILEGES ON THEIR PROPERTY AS OUTLINED IN THE LETTER FROM CONSOLIDATED ROCK, COUNCILWOMAN TAYLOR SECONDED. The motion carried by the following vote: AYES: COUNCILMEN HOLMES, TAYLOR, BISHOP AND MAYOR BLOXHAM NOES: NONE ABSENT: COUNCILMAN MOREHEAD RE PERMISSION TO USE THEIR PROPERTY ON EASTERLY SIDE OF ALDERSON AVE.
