The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park met in adjourned regular session at the above place at 4:45 p.m. Roll Call: Present: COUNCILMEN ADAIR, CRITES, ROLL CALL GREGORY AND MAYOR MOREHEAD Councilman McCaron arrived at 4:55 p.m.) Absent: PLANNING DIRECTOR AND BUILDING SUPERINTENDENT KALBFLEISCH, CHIEF OF POLICE BEST AND CITY TREASURER PUGH Also Present: CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER NORDBY, CITY ATTORNEY FLANDRICK, FINANCE DIRECTOR DUNCAN AND CITY CLERK BALKUS City Engineer French and Assistant City Engineer Fogle arrived at 4:50 p.m.) 00- Mayor Morehead welcomed Councilman Adair back to his first Council meeting since his illness and extended best wishes for a continued recovery. 00- Mayor Morehead reported that the City Selection Committee had named four Directors to the Southern California Rapid Transit District Board on September 23, 1964, at a meeting in the Hall of Administration, Los Angeles. He stated that the four Directors selected were: Corridor A Councilman Kermit M. Bill, Huntington Park Corridor B Mayor Leonard Horwin, Beverly Hills Corridor C Councilman Robert F. Brandon, Burbank Corridor D Mayor Harry A. Faull, Pomona Note: Baldwin Park is in Corridor D. COUNCILMAN ADAIR WELCONED BACK TO HIS FIRST MEETING SINCE HIS ILLNESS FOUR D IRE CTORS NAMED TO SO. HILLS, COUNCILMAN BRANDON, BURBANK AND MAYOR FAULL, POMONA 00- i City Clerk Balkus announced that the hour of 55:00 p.m. having OPENING OF CONSTRUC- arrived, that this was the time and place fixed for the TION BIDS 64-A-I opening of sealed bids or proposals for the work described in Resolution of Intention, Resolution No. 64-211, and the report of the City Engineer, said work generally consist- ing of the construction of sanitary sewers and appurtenant work in streets within Assessment District No. 64-A-1. City Clerk Balkus presented the affidavit of posting of POSTING OF NOTICE notice inviting bids. She explained the prices and details of each. Discussion followed. COUNCILMAN ADAIR MOVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZE THE PURCHASE OF THE BADGES WITH FOLDERS) AND PLASTIC BADGES AS IDENTIFICATION. COUNCILWOMAN GREGORY SECONDED. The motion carried by the following vote: AYES: COUNCILMEN ADAIR, GREGORY, CRITES, MCCARON AND MAYOR MOREHEAD NOES: NONE ABSENT: NONE Discussion as to the number of badges to be ordered and who would carry them besides the City Council.
