REGULAR MEETING OF THE BALDW I N PARK CITY COUNCIL NOVEMBER 18, 1964

In accordance with Section 2703 of the'Munic.ipal Code
the City Council met at 7:00 p.m. in the Conference room
for an informal session with the staff to inform them-
selves on regular items appearing on the agenda. A press
representative was in attendance.
The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park met in regular
session in the Council Chambers at 7:30 p.m.
Mayor Morehead led the salute to the flag. FLAG SALUTE

Mrs. Eugenia Igna, 12819 East Garvey, Baldwin Park, re- MRS. EUGENIA IGNA,

Councilman McCaron stated he would prefer to check the area
further, that possibly one parcel needed curbs and gutters
and that others might create a-hardship.

intersection.
It was explained the crosswalks would be re-painted as soon
as the weather permits and the Council referred the
installation of a four 4) way stop to the Traffic
Committee for a recommendation to Council.

Park Improvement Association, Incorporated, regarding a
possible new site for City Hall.
The Council referred the letter to the Planning Commission.

3734 Foster Avenue, 1. P. Manciltas, and Walter Townsend
regarding an eight 8) inch sewer and water main re-

Í«Regular Meeting of the Baldwin Park City-Council
City Clerk Balkus explained that a summons had been served
on the City of Baldwin Park and various other cities and
the County of Los Angeles for adjustment in taxes, on
safety deposit boxes. the amount against Baldwin Park
was $,47,
The City Council directed that the summons be denied and
referred to the County Counsel. There were no objections
and the direction was so ordered by Mayor Morehead.

Council discussed upgrading Street Lighting and an Adjourned
Meeting to discuss the problem. Councilwoman Gregory
suggested that Chief Administrative Officer Nordby contact
La Puente to ascertain their street fighting progress.

ANGELES COUNTY FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES BE APPROVED AND

Discussion followed relating to the time used versus the
cost.

the city Engineer.

It was clarified that applications on file would be

Councilman McCaron requested a report as to the effect
of the new fee schedule on the use of the auditorium.

City Engineer French explained that as builts" drawings
were usually prepared by the Engineer of Work; that
Assessment District 62--A-I is near completion; that the
contract on 62-A-1 did not make this allowance as in
Assessment District 61i.-A-I; that he suggested allowance
be made for Ivor Lyons to prepare as builts" on 62-A-1.

Mayor Morehead stated he had attended the Civil Defense
Drill this past week-end; that attendance had been poor;
that a hospital such as had been set up would give
relief and comfort. It was suggested that banners across
