Chief Administrative Officer Nordby stated that approxi- mately two days ago he had spoken with City Engineer French concerning signalization of a number of streets in the City; that he had nearly been sideswiped at Francisqulto and Ramona; that Pacific and Puente was also a bad corner; that there were probably four or five others; that they would review available funds; that he had suggested to City Engineer French that he study these intersections and that he come up with a priority list. Councilman McCaron stated that at Los Angeles and Merced there was no indication on the paving that there was a stop ahead; that at night the stop sign was not very visible; that possibly it could be lit at night. Councilwoman Gregory stated that surrounding cities were using the reflectorized type squares imbedded in the street where corners were particularly hazardous; that at Los Angeles and La Rica the crosswalks were not visible because of the crown of the street or an optical illusion; that this was dangerous for both motorists and pedestrians. 00- Councilman McCaron stated that there was still an available seat on the Planning Commission; that possibly a new member should be appointed soon. Mayor Morehead stated that he had been looking for a candidate; that up to this time he did not have one to present to Council; that within the next couple of weeks perhaps they could find one. m00_ AT 8:48 P.M.
