HAMILTON KING. MOREHEAD AND MAYOR MCCARON Also Present; CITY MANAGER NORDBY. CITY ATTORNEY FLANDRICK. CITY ENGINEER FRENCH, PLANNING DIRECTOR CHIVETTA. FINANCE DIRECTOR DUNCAN, CHIEF OF POLICE ADAMS. CITY TREASURER CODLING AND CITY CLERK BALKUS 00- Mayor McCaron stated that this adjourned meeting was being held to consider a Resolution to proceed on the findings and formation of the drafting of a charter for the City of Baldwin Park; that in accordance with this Resolution, the Commission would make its findings to determine whether the City should reorganize as a Charter ity and, thereafter, to draft a charter for the City of Baldwin Parko City Clerk Balkus read in fulls RESOLUTION NO. 70-84 ESTABLISHING A CHARTER STUDY COMMISSION FOR SAID CITY MEETING TO CONSIDER RES. RE STUDY OF PROS & CONS OF CHARTERING AND DRAFT OF CHARTER RES, NO, 70-84 ESTAB.CHARTER STUDY COMM READ IN FULL In answer to Mayor McCaron"s question regarding the ex officio members of the Commission, City Attorney Flahdrick stated that this could be included in the Resolution or not, as the Council wishedg that if the Council adopted the Resolution, with such modifications as they saw fit, that there would then be a Resolution for the appointment of the members to the Com- mission and, at that time, it could be indicated that the City Manager and the City Attorney shall assist the Commission in the performance of their functionsc.
