The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park met in
adjourned regular session at the above place at 7:00 p.m.
Roll Call: Present: COUNCILMEN BLEHETT. KING AND
MAYOR GREGORY
COUNCILMAN MC CARON ARRIVED
AT 7:27 P.M.)
Absent: COUNCILMAN HAMILTON
Also Present: ACTING CITY MANAGER/CITY
CLERK BALKUS

Mayor Gregory stated that this adjourned regular meeting
was for the purpose of considering applicants for the
position of City Manager.
00-
Acting City Manager Balkus requested that one item of
business be considered, namely, a request for approval
of a Temporary Use Permit for a Carnival on October 2,
1971 at Charles Bursch School. She recommended approval
and waiver of fees.
COUNCILMAN KING MOVED THAT THE TEMPORARY USE PERMIT FOR
A CARNIVAL ON OCTOBER 2. 1971 AT CHARLES BURSCH SCHOOL
BE APPROVED AND THAT FEES BE WAIVED. COUNCILMAN BLEWETT
SECONDED. There were no objections. The motion carried
and was so ordered.

Mayor Gregory stated that applications for the position
of City Manager were confidential, and that she would
entertain a motion to adjourn to an executive session.
AT 7:08 P.M.. COUNCILMAN BLEHETT MOVED THAT THE COUNCIL
ADJOURN TO EXECUTIVE SESSION. COUNCILMAN KING SECONDED.
There were no objections. The motion carried and was
so ordered.

At 10:11 P.BI., the City Council reconvened In adjourned
regular session. Roll call. Present: Councllmen Blewett,
King, McCaron, Mayor Gregory and Acting City Manager/City
Clerk Balkus. Absent: Councilman Hamilton.
The Council agreed that the cutoff date for accepting
appli call OPS for the position of City Manager would be
Septerter 21, 1971.

ADJOURN TO TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 21, 1971 AT 4(3D P.M.
COUNCILMAN BLEWETT SECONDED. There were not objections.
