ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING OF THE BALDWIN PARK CITY COUNCIL
CITY HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS) 14403 East Pacific Avenue
The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park met in
adjourned regular session at the above place at 7:30 p.m.
Councilman Hamilton led the salute to the flag.

COUNCILMAN GREGORY MOVED THAT COUNCILMAN BLEWETT AND CITY
ATTORNEY FLANDRICK BE EXCUSED. COUNCILMAN HAMILTON SECONDED.
There were no objections. The motion carried and was so
ordered.

City Clerk Balkus announced that this was the time and place
fixed for receiving the City Clerk's Certificate as to the
results of the Special Municipal Election held Tuesday, May
8, 1973. She stated that the whole number of votes cast
except absentee voter ballots) was 2,947; that the whole
number of absentee voter ballots was 27, making a total of
2,974 votes cast; that the Certificate of Canvass attached
to Resolution No. 73-84 indicated the votes cast for and
against the measure Shall the Charter prepared and proposed
by the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park be adopted?";
that there were 604 yes" votes and 2,370 no" votes; that
the measure failed to carry. She read by title and recommended
adoption of Resolution No. 73-84.
RESOLUTION NO. 73-84 RECITING THE FACT OF THE
SPECIAL ELECTION HELD IN SAID CITY OF BALDWIN
PARK ON THE 8TH DAY OF MAY, 1973, DECLARING
THE RESULTS THEREOF AND SUCH OTHER MATTERS AS
PROVIDED BY LAW.
COUNCILMAN GREGORY MOVED THAT RESOLUTION NO. 73-84 BE
ADOPTED AND THAT FURTHER READING BE WAIVED. COUNCILMAN
HAMILTON SECONDED. There were no objections. The motion
carried and was so ordered.

73-46 adopted by the City Council of said City on the 21st day of February,
