Notice of the meeting was given in the i.ianner prescribed by law. An invocation was given by Reverend Abet Rodriguez, Primera Iglesia Hispana Church. Councilman Hamilton led the salute to the flag. Proper postings and mailings had been accomplished. There were no written protests. February 15, 1978 Page 3 PUBLIC HEARING PUBLIC NUISANCE 77-W-276 POSTINGS & MAILINGS NO WRITTEN PROTESTS Acting City Manager Sexton had been declared a public 1977 and that the property that the City dean up the said that the property nuisance on November 8, owner had requested property. M/S/C: HAMILTON/AGUILAR. Roll Call. There were no objections. 00- Acting City Manager Sexton referred to the request for waiver of time limit for Appeal on Parcel Map No. 941. He said the appeal had been received several days after the 10-day time limit and recommended Lhat Council waive the time limit so that the appeal could be presented at the next Council Meeting. WAIVE TIME LIMIT FOR APPEAL OF PARCEL MAP NO. 941. M/S/C: AGUILAR/HAMILTON. There were no objections. 00- Acting City Manager Sexton stated that the Staff had been authorized at the last meeting to purchase two of the three parcels of land for the new City Maintenance Yard. Negotiations with the owner Mr. Minter) had been completed at the appraised value of $33,000 for the third parcel 13154 E. Fairgrove). APPROVE PURCHASE OF PARCEL FOR $33,000 AND AUTHORIZE STAFF TO ENTER INTO ESCROW PROCEED- INGS. M/S/C: AGUILAR/HAMILTON. Roll Call. There were no objections. 00- Helen Gibson, 13268 Francisquito, asked where the land was located that was being purchased for the new City Maintenance Yard. Mayor Blewett said the property was located at the rear of the old Highway Patrol Building on Garvey Avenue and that the Staff had purchased it for one quarter of a million dollars less than it had been budgeted for.
