Park met in adjourned regular session in
the Council Chambers at 5:30 P.M.

It was moved and seconded to excuse City Treasurer Montenegro's
absence. M/S/C: HOLMAN/McNEILL. There were no objections.

Mr. Halloway gave a Staff report requesting Council to adopt
a Resolution authorizing the City to loan the Redevelopment
Agency $425,000 for 6 months. This loan will finance the
short-term purchase of land to finish the West Ramona project.
Following Council discussion, it was moved and seconded to
approve Resolution No. 81-119 Authorizing the Appropriation
of Funds to the Redevelopment Agency to Support Redevelop-
ment Activities within the City of Baldwin Park. M/S/C:
AGUILAR/McNEILL. There were no objections.

It was moved and seconded to approve Resolution No. 81-120
opposing State Senate Bi11 999. M/S/C: KING/HOLMAN.
There were no objections.

City Clerk Gair explained Ordinance No. 830, an Urgency
Ordinance Establishing a Filing Fee for Candidates in
Municipation Elections. This Ordinance wi11 set and
require a Twenty-Five dollar $25.00) filing fee for
candidates, who file nominations papers only.
Council discussed the legalities regarding this Ordinance
with the City Attorney. It was moved and seconded to
approve Urgency Ordinance No. 830. M/S/C: KING/HOLMAN.
There were no objections. Roll Call vote:

It was moved and seconded to adjourn the Adjourned
Regular Meeting of the City Council to the Adjourned
Community Redevelopment Agency Meeting at 5:45 p.m.
M/S/C: McNEILL/AGUILAR. There were no objections.

The Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council
reconvened at 5:55 p.m. Roil call remained the same.

Mr. Hemer gave a Staff report recommending that the
City Council accept the report on the merger of the
San Gabriel River Redevelopment Project and the West
Ramona Boulevard Redevelopment Project areas and hold
pending the Joint Public Hearing.
It was moved and seconded to approve the Staff
Recommendation above. M/S/C: McNEILL/KING.
There were no objections.
