COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK,

FEBRUARY 17, 1986 AT 7:00 P.M.
The City Council of the City of Baldwin
Park met in adjourned session in the
Council Chambers at 7:00 p.m.
The adjourned regular meeting was called to order by
Mayor White at 7:00 p.m.
CALLED TO
ORDER
ROLL CALL PRESENT: COUNCILMEN IZELL, MCNEILL, ROLL CALL
AND MAYOR WHITE
ALSO PRESENT: City Manager Webb, and
City Clerk Gair

The absences of Councilman King, Councilman Gibson ABSENCES
and City Treasurer Montenegro were excused, EXCUSED

REPORTS OF OFFICERS, COMMISSIONS AND COMMITTEES
City Clerk Gair explained that when an insufficient
number of candidates file for an election the
City Council is allowed to appoint to office the
person who has been nominated for that office.
A Resolution is before the Council which will
appoint the nominees to each office and will for-
mally cancel the General Municipal Election that
was to be held.

It was moved and seconded to approve Resolution No.
86-4, A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BALDWIN PARK PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT TO
THE OFFICES OF THIS CITY, AND CANCELLING THE GENERAL
MUNICIPAL ELECTION ON TUESDAY, APRIL 8, 1986".
