HILTON HOTEL, BALDWIN PARK TOWNE CENTER,
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 17, 1989, AT 11:30 A.M.
The City Council of the City of Baldwin
Park met in special session in the Board
Room at 11:30 a.m.
ROLL CALL: PRESENT: COUNCILMEMBERS IZELL, MCNEILL ROLL CALL
AND MAYOR PRO TEM LOWES
ALSO PRESENT: Acting City Manager Yelton,
Development Pearce,
Finance Manager Schuld, and
City Clerk Gair
HILTON STAFF: General Manager Evan Studer,
Sales Director Nelda Tope,
Sales Manager Melissa Egy,
Catering Director Joyce Bonventura,
and F & B Director Steve Sametz
The absence of Mayor King was excused. ABSENCE
EXCUSED

The Special Meeting of the City Council was convened and HILTON'S
General Manager Studer gave a narrative overview of the PACKET
hotel as presented in the Hilton's packet. He explained PRESENTED
that this meeting was for the third quarter and that he
is receptive to these meetings being held every quarter.
He stated that this meeting would cover the following
items: Financial Information, Budget Information and a
Sales and Marketing Review. He directed a page by page
review of the Hilton's packet and Hilton staff members
commented on the areas that were applicable to them.
Council and staff discussed Profit Before Capital and
Interest, the Fourth Quarter Projection, the obligation
of the City to indebtness, general and unapplied
expenses, and a financial comparison of the Baldwin Park
Hilton to the Monrovia Holiday Inn.
No action was taken by the City Council on any of the NO ACTION
items discussed. TAKEN

It was moved and seconded to adjourn the special meeting MEETING
of the City Council at 1:40 p.m. M/S/C: LOWES/MCNEILL. ADJOURNED
There were no objections. 1:40 P.M.
