The City Council of the City of Baldwin
Park met in special session in Room 307
at 10:00 a.m.
ROLL CALL: PRESENT: COUNCILMEMBERS IZELL, LOWES, ROLL CALL
MCNEILL AND MAYOR KING
ALSO PRESENT: Acting City Manager Yelton,
City Attorney Flandrick,
Acting Dir. of Community
Services Rangel,
Acting Dir. of Economic
Development Pearce, and
City Clerk Gair

The Special Meeting of the City Council was called to MEETING
order by Mayor King and was recessed to a Special RECESSED
Meeting of the Redevelopment Agency at 10:02 a.m.
The. Special Meeting of the City Council was reconvened
10:45 a.m. Roll Call remained the same.

CLOSED SESSION
The Special Meeting of the City Council was adjourned to CLOSED
a Closed Session at 10:45 a.m. relating to a personnel SESSION
matter as authorized by the Government Code Section
54957.
The Special Meeting of the City Council was reconvened
at 11:13 a.m. Roll Call remained the same.
It was moved and seconded that, after consultation with APPOINT-
the Acting City Manager, Beverly Pearce be appointed MENT CRA
Acting Director of Housing and Economic Development, ACTING
effective October 29, 1989 at the monthly salary of DIRECTOR
$4,984. M/S/C: LOWES/IZELL. There were no objections. APPROVED

It was moved and seconded to adjourn the Special Meeting MEETING
of the City Council at 11:15 a.m. M/S/C: ADJOURNED
LOWES/MCNEILL 11:15 A.M.
