The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park
met in adjourned regular session in the San
Gabriel Valley hilton at 8:00 a.m.

Mayor Vargas declared the adjourned regular meeting of IN SESSION
7 the City Council in session.
ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
Mayor Vargas declared Oral Communications open and ORAL COMMU
invited those wishing to speak on any subject to come NICATIONS
forward. There were none. OPEN
Mayor Vargas declared Oral Communications closed. CLOSED

Assemblywoman Solis and Councilmembers along with Staff
discussed the following:
1. Support of the continuation of the 1/2 cents
Sales Tax with a return to the City in revenue.
2. Enterprise zones.
3. Federal Funds into highly depressed areas.
4. summer Youth Program.
5. Unemployment in the City.
6. Redevelopment reform that is needed.
a) Freeway areas available in the City.
b) Possible 900 thousand dollar cut from the
State.
c) Cal Trans Off-ramps maintenance and CRA
Projects at exits.
