The City Council of the City of Baldwin
Park met in a study session ar session in
the Room 307 at 6:00 p.m.
ROLL CALL: PRESENT: COUNCILMEMBERS GALLEGOS, MARTINEZ ROLL CALL
MCNEILL, MUSE AND MAYOR VARGAS
ALSO PRESENT: Dir. of Administrative Yeats,
Police Chief Lanza,
Dir. of Public Works Mousavi,
Dir. of Community Dev. Carbajal,
Dir. of Human Services Nunez, and
City Clerk Gair

Mayor Vargas declared the study session in session at IN SESSION
6:00 p.m.
Topics of discussion were: TOPICS
An update of the PC implementation, outlining the
training, the new printers and the networking. The
Executive Assistant position and the request of Mayor
Vargas and Councilwoman Muse to be involved in the final
interview process.
The reassignment of representatives and alternates to
Council committees was presented for later direction
from Council.
The possible renaming of Virginia Street to Hamburger
Lane for In-N-Out Hamburger. Council directed that this
be moved forward on and possible other names be
suggested.
The confirmation of the Coca-Cola Grant for use on
little league fields, the architect's bid for services,
and other funding sources such as: CDBG corporate
sponsorship; and ads. by the school district were
presented.
A presentation of the four alternatives for Ramona Blvd.
island construction were explained and will be brought
to the February 2nd Council meeting. The Villas de
Paseo Landscaping Assessment District was explained and
outlined. Options for ways to resolve the future
funding and increased costs were considered.
The City Attorney gave a brief overview of the new Brown
Act requirements, highlighting those changes that effect
cities the most.
Meeting was dismissed at 7:00 p.m.
