OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK, MORGAN PARK,
4100 BALDWIN PARK BOULEVARD, WEDNESDAY,
FEBRUARY 22, 1995 AT 6:00 P.M.
The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park
met in a special meeting at Morgan Park at 6:00 p.m.
ROLL CALL: PRESENT: COUNCILMEMBERS LOWES, LOZANO,
MARTINEZ, MUSE AND MAYOR VARGAS
ALSO PRESENT: Dir. of Admin. Services Yeats,
Police Chief Lanza
Dir. of Public Works Mousavi,
Dir. of Comm. Dev. Carbajal, and
Dir. of Human Services Nunez
The absence of City Clerk Gair was excused.

Director of Human Services Nunez presented some of the specifics of the East San
Gabriel Valley Boys and Girls Club contract. He explained the possibility of the City
overseeing the program and the potential need for a smooth and transparent changeover
if the City does begin to administer the entire program. The cost savings, the expanded
programs, and the potential for increased revenue was explained.
Comments were taken from the public and Councilmembers also expressed their views.
The matter will be considered and decided upon at a later date. No action was taken
by the City Council.

Mayor Vargas declared the special meeting of the City Council adjourned. There were
no objections.
