The City Council of the City of Baldwin
Park met in a study session in Room 307
with the Housing Commission at 6:00 p.m.

ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
Mayor Vargas declared Oral Communications open and invited those wishing to speak
to come forward. There were none.

STUDY SESSION SUBJECT
Director of Human Services Nunez explained the Community Center Sen,ice Fees that
will be implemented this summer when the City begins overseeing the Boys and Girls
Club programs. He outlined the charges relating to residential and non-residential cards,
the weight room and the boxing program.
In response to questions from the Council, Mr. Nunez explained the membership cards,
their expiration dates, the tracking of checked-out equipment through the cards,
replacement cards, and the estimated revenue through general use fees.
An Underground water cleanup slide and chart presentation was made by the San
Gabriel Basin Water Quality Authority and Three Valleys Water district. Eight members
of water boards were present and discussed water cleanup facilities and the problems
that exist in the valley.

The Council expressed concern about the lack of information they had received on this
matter and proposed facilities. They requested that they be kept informed and as
needed meetings be held to accomplish this sharing of information.
