The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park met in
an adjourned regular meeting for Team Building at 8:00 a.m.
in Room 307 of City Hall
Mayor Vargas called the meeting to order at 8:15 a.m.

Director of Administrative Services Yeats stated that the Team Building would first review the
Budget Focus Area for Fiscal Years 1994-95 and 1995-96. Each department head will be
reporting at the appropriate times as we proceed through the outline given to everyone.

Summation
Mayor Vargas stated the Council Goal in light of all that has been reviewed, would be to
Maintain the level of accomplishment throughout the City in all areas, and to focus on
Economic Development."
The second area of discussion was Vision for Baldwin Park 2010-2015, which was a review
and expansion of the City Council Goals and Objectives as established in the Team Building
Session at the Community Center with David Jones. Expansion of goals and objectives will
be bolded.

Executive Team review process was outlined by Councilwoman Muse. She explained the
reviews to be done by Councilmembers, by the Executive Team members of their peers and
the 360 evaluation by employees of the department heads Executive Team).
Mayor Vargas requested a Closed Session on March 6, City Council meeting of the Council
only to begin the review process and a Closed Session for March 20, with the Council and
the Executive Team for the presentation of the evaluations.
