The City Council met in a study session
in the Council Chamber at 6:00 p.m.
ROLL CALL PRESENT: COUNCIL MEMBERS LOZANO, MUSE, PACHECO,
VAN CLEAVE AND MAYOR LOWES
ALSO PRESENT: City Attorney Olivas,
Interim City Manager Mousavi,
Acting Chief of Police Kies,
Interim Finance Director Holmes,
Dir. of Community Development Cervantes,
Dir. of Rec/Community Services Nunez, and
City Clerk Gair

ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
Mayor Lowes declared Oral Communications open and invited those wishing to speak to come
forward. There were none.
Mayor Lowes declared Oral Communications closed.

SUBSEQUENT NEED
City Attorney Olivas stated that there was a Subsequent Need Item that occurred after the posting
of the agenda relating to Anticipated Litigation, one case, Government Code Section 54956.9.
It was moved and seconded to approve the Subsequent Need Item as stated. M/S/C
LOWES/PACHECO. There were no objections.

CLOSED SESSION
The City Council adjourned to a Closed Session at 6:01 p..m. to consider: Conference With Legal
Counsel, Existing Litigation, Two Cases: I) Larry Lear v. City of Baldwin Park; and Sean Klave v.
City of Baldwin Park pursuant to Government Code 54956.9; and Conference With Legal

The Study Session reconvened at 6:55 p.m. Roll Call remained.
City Attorney Olivas stated that in Closed Session the Council considered the items as stated above
which included the Subsequent Need Item. Direction was given to staff and no action was taken.
