The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park met in
an adjourned regular meeting for Commission Interviews
at 6:00 p.m. in Council Chambers
ROLL CALL: PRESENT: COUNCIL MEMBERS MUSE, LOZANO,
PACHECO, VAN CLEAVE AND MAYOR

ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
Mayor Lowes declared oral Communications open an invited those wishing to speak on any subject
to come forward. There were none.
Mayor Lowes declared Oral Communications Closed.

The process for the interviews was explained by the City Clerk and the following persons were
present to be interviewed as an applicant for various city commissions.
Rudy Escalera, Mila Alba, Jean Carpenter, David Chow, Frank Estrada, Mary Ferrer, Marien Garcia,
Richard Granados, Cecelia Diaz, Severino Brillon, Son Lieu, Conrado Magdaleno, Henrietta
Moreno, Angelito Perez, Martha Reyes, Efren Rivera, Aurelio Rodriguez, Blanca Solis, Irma
Tarango, Kathryn Tizcareno, Margarita Vargas, Sally Wieck, William Sutton, Ed Huetinck, Ron
Palacious, Lorene Algeria and Darlean Oclaray.

The City Council recessed at 7:22 p.m. for a refreshment break with the applicants.
The City Council reconvened at 7:40 p.m. Roll Call remained the same.

OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK JULY 13,1998
The City Council discussed the selection process that would be used to choose the persons to serve
on the commissions. Council agreed that they would nominate persons to serve and vote
individually on each person nominated to a specific office. Reappointments would serve out their
current term or serve a new two year term. Council concurred by unanimous consent.

Mayor Lowes adjourned the adjourned regular meeting of the City Council at 8:05 p.m. There
were no objections.
