Hathaway, Director of Finance; Ralph Nunez, Director of Recreation and Community Services; Steve Cervantes, Director of Community Development; Kathryn V. Tizeareno, City Clerk and Rosemary M. Ramirez, Deputy City Clerk PUBLIC COMMUNICATIONS There were no speakers. REPORTS OF OFFICERS, COMMISSIONS AND COMMITEES MD-YEAR FINANCIAL REVIEW Finance Director Jim Hathaway reviewed the Mid Year Financial Report with the Council. After discussion, Director Hathaway noted that the city's expenditures for Try 98-99 will be well under or at the budgeted amount. Upon question from Council Members Lozano, Muse and Van Cleave, Director Hathaway explained that a savings in the City Clerk's department will take affect in FY 99-2000 and not in the current fiscal year, since this year, cumulative leave etc., was paid out to those employees who retired from the Clerks Department. Director Hathaway will provide the City Council with a report that will outline the anticipated savings in Clerk's Cost Center. CLOSED SESSION Mayor Lowes announced that a closed session would be conducted at this time.
