The CITY COUNCIL and COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY of the City of
Baldwin Park met in STUDY SESSION at the above time and place.
ROLL CALL
Present: Council Members: Marlen Garcia, Bill Van Cleave, Ricardo Pacheco, Mayor Pro Tern
Gair, and Mayor Manuel Lozano.
Also Present: Dayle Keller, Chief Executive Officer; Arnold Alvarez-Glasman, City Attorney; Rick
Forintos, Community Development Director; and Rosemary M. Ramirez, Deputy City Clerk.
PUBLIC COMMUNICATIONS
Grace Cooper, 4168 La Rica, requested the City Council to consider the installation of a stop sign
at the intersection of Palm and La Rica Avenue.
CLOSED SESSION
The Council/Agency recessed to Closed Session at 6:15 p.m. and reconvened at 7:20 p.m., with
all members present. City Attorney Alvarez-Glasman reported the action as follows:

ACTION: Agency received briefing from staff. Executive Director
was authorized to execute the Amendment to the
Development Agreement with the condition that if there
are significant changes made thereto, said Agreement
should be referred back to the Agency Board for review.

Negotiating Parties: Agency Negotiating with Attina Development Co.
Agency Negotiators: Dayle Keller and Arnold Alvarez-Glasman

ACTION: A motion was made to remove subject matter from the
agenda and withhold further discussion thereof.

TITLE: Public Works Director
ACTION: City Council received briefing from Chief Executive
Officer Keller. No action taken. Matter was deferred to
the meeting of June 20, 2001.
PRESENTATIONS
PRESENTATION BY SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON
Mr. Felix Uberini, Senior Project Manager with Southern California Edison provided the Council a
brief update on the current energy situation. Mr. Uberini indicated that a copy of this presentation
will be emailed to Chief Executive Officer Keller and available to the Mayor and City Council for
further review if necessary.
