FAMILY SERVICE CENTER SERVICES
Helen Hernandez, Family Service Center Program Coordinator, Presented the report as follow:
The Family Service Center concept was established and created by former Mayor Pro-Tern Tern
Muse. A collaborative was formed and then came the Family Service Center Advisory Board. The
Board was made up of members and residents from the community. This included
councilmembers, commissioners, residents, parents, school district employees, and area service
groups. After exhaustive efforts to Sink City Staff with non-profit organizations, and social service
providers the facility was opened in July of 1997. The Family Service Center is a vital link between
the community and social services needed to get through life's daily challenges. The Family
Service Center is a resource for information, services, and assistance with answers. Monthly,
