A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BALDWIN PARK SUPPORTING THE CITY'S RENEWAL
APPLICATION FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE CALIFORNIA
HEALTHY CITIES PROJECT
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park has placed a high priority on improving the
quality' of life for all citizens of the City; and
WHEREAS, the Baldwin Park 2000 Project was successful In identifying social service needs within
the Pleasant View Project area: and
WHEREAS, the needs assessment acknowledges the need to establish programs that will provide
residents with training in the area of cornputer & technology that will allow them to be successful at school, home
and in the workplace:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City' Council of the City of Baldwin Park supports
the City's renewal application to participate In the California Healthy Cities Project.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 1st day of April 1998.
