A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK AMENDING RESOLUTION
NO. 2000-68 APPOINTING RAFAEL GARCIA TO
OFFICE NO. 4, RITA P. VASQUEZ TO OFFICE NO. 5,
ADRIANA BANUELOS TO OFFICE NO. 6 STUDENT
COMMISSIONER, LISA FENG CHEN TO OFFICE NO.
7 STUDENT COMMISSIONER), AND JANET
JURTADO TO OFFICE NO. 8 STUDENT
COMMISSIONER) OF THE RECREATION AND
COMMUNITY SERVICES COMMISSION
WHEREAS, the terms of office for Recreation and Community Services Commission
Members Rafael Garcia, Office No. 4, Rita P. Vasquez, Office No. 5, Priscilla Viste, Office
No. 6, and Andrea Carrillo, Office No. 7 will expire on June 30, 2001; and
WHEREAS, on November 8, 2000, the City Council created Office No. 8 for
representation of a Student Commissioner from North Park High School and the City Council
is now desirous of appointing a member to said office;
WHEREAS, appointments for Office Nos. 4 and 5 are made and entered onto this
resolution for a two-year term, expiring June 30, 2003, and whereas the appointments for
office Nos. 6, 7 and 8 are made and entered onto this resolution for a one-year term,
expiring June 30, 2002; and
WHEREAS, a public notice of the commission vacancies was published in the NOW
Newspaper and in the San Gabriel Valley Tribune.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDIWN PARK
HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the following named persons are hereby appointed as members of
Office Nos. 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8, of the Recreation and Community Services Commission; and
such appointee shall hold office at the pleasure of the City Council and serve for the term as
follows:
Office 1 Ramona DeLaTorre
Office 2 Martha Reyes
Office 3 Irma Tarango
Office 4 Rafael Garcia
Office 5 Rita P. Vasquez
Office 6 Adriana Banuelos
Baldwin Park High School Student
Office 7 Lisa Feng Chen
Sierra Vista High School Student
Office 8 Janet Jurtado
North Park High School Student

Section 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution and
forward a copy of this resolution to commission appointees and a copy to the Recreation
and Community Services Secretary.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 20th day of June, 2001.
