A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK APPROVING AN
AMENDMENT TO THE INDEPENDENT CITIES RISK
MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY JOINT POWERS
AGREEMENT ADMITTING TO MEMBERSHIP THE
CITY OF PALM SPRINGS
WHEREAS, the City of Baldwin Park is a member of the Independent
Cities Risk Management Authority ICRMA"), a Joint Powers Authority, which
provides risk management programs of insurance to protect its members from
the effect of unexpected losses and to provide excess insurance and other
services, including risk management, loss prevention, claims adjustment,
insurance brokerage, legal and other services related to its purpose; and
WHEREAS, the City of Palm Springs has applied for membership in
ICRMA and the Governing Board has determined that the City of Palm Springs
meets the qualifications for membership and has approved its becoming a
member; and
WHEREAS, it is appropriate to amend the ICRMA Joint Powers
Agreement to admit the City of Palm Springs as a member of the Joint Powers
Authority;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN
PARK DOES FIND, DETERMINE AND DECLARE AS FOLLOWS:
This City Council does approve an amendment to the Independent Cities Risk
Management Authority Joint Powers Agreement to admit to full membership the
City of Palm Springs.
RESOLVED FURTHER that a certified copy of this Resolution shall be
filed with the General Manager of the Independent Cities Risk Management
Authority.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of September 2001.
