A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BALDWIN PARK, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 2001-059
APPOINTING MONICA GARCIA TO OFFICE NO. 2 WITH A
TERM EXPIRING JUNE 30, 2003; AND APPOINTING GLORIA
GONZALEZ TO OFFICE NO 3 WITH A TERM EXPIRING JUNE
30,2002
WHEREAS, on December 2, 2001, Theresa Villegas submitted her resignation as
Planning Commissioner of Office No. 2 of the Planning Commission whereby creating a
vacancy thereof; and
WHEREAS, Section 32.11 of the Baldwin Park Municipal Code states that
Commission members shall not hold public office as an elected official at the time of their
appointment or at any other time during their term; and
WHEREAS, on November 2, 2001, Sergio Corona was elected to serve as a
Member of the Baldwin Park Unified School District whereby causing a vacancy of Office
No. 3 of the Planning Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is desirous of filling the unscheduled vacancies of
Office No. 2 for the term expiring June 30, 2003 and Office No 3 for a term expiring June
30,2002;and
WHEREAS, a public notice of the unscheduled vacancies was published according
to the requirements of state law in the San Gabriel Valley Tribune.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CiTY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDIWN PARK
HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the following named persons are hereby appointed as members of
Office No. 1 and 2 of the Planning Commission of the City of Baldwin Park. Such
appointee shall hold office at the pleasure of the City Council and serve for the term as
follows:
Office 1 Ed Huetinck
Office 2 Monica Garcia
Office 3 Gloria Gonzaiez
Office 4 Conrado Magdaleno
Office 5 Milagros Alba
for the term expiring June 30, 2003
for the term expiring June 30, 2003
for the term expiring June 30, 2002
for the term expiring June 30, 2002
for the term expiring June 30, 2002
Section 2. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution and
forward a copy said appointees and to the Planning Commission Secretary.

by the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park at an adjourned regular meeting of the City
Council held on February 20, 2002, by the following vote:
