AN ORD2NANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK
APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERSCTaay,
DESL Cd4ATED ANN=ATI ON NO. 1" TO THE CITY OF BALD4dIN PARK,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BARN PARK DOES ORDATN AS FOLLOWS:
WH;EZFAS, on the 19th day of March, 1956, the Council of the City of Baldwin
Park dial pass and adopt Resolution No. 15 giving notice of the proposal to annex
certain uninhabited territory to the City of Baldwin Park, said territory being
therein designated as Annexation No. 1", and said action being taken by the Council
of said City as the legislative body of the City pursuant to a written petition therefor,
said Resolution describing the boundaries of the territory so proposed to be annexed
to said City; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 15 did contain a notice of the day, hour and place
when and where the said Council of said City would hear protests-made by any person
owning real property within the territory proposed to be annexed, the time of said
hearing being not less than fifteen nor more than forty days from the date of
passage of said Resolution; and
WHEREAS, on the 16th day of April, 1956, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m., in
the Council-Chambers in the Jones School: Cafetorium, City of Baldwin Park, County of
Los Angeles, State of California., said time and place being the day, hour and place
fixed in said Resolution No. 15 for hearing protests to the said annexation, the
said Council of said City did hear and pass upon all protests made to said proposed
annexation and did determine that no protests to said proposed annexation have been
made by the owners of one-half of the value of the territory proposed to be annexed
as shown by the last equalized assessment roll, nor by public and private owners of
one-half of the value of the territory proposed to be annexed as determined by said
legislative body; and
WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Baldwin Park, and is
uninhabited territory in the County of Los Angeles;
NOW, THEREF'ORE, the said Council of the City of Baldwin Park does herby
approve the annexation of said territory, hereinafter described, to the City of
Baldwin Park and does hereby further ordain that the said territory, be and is
hereby annexed to the City of Baldwin Park.
That said territory, the annexation of which to the City of Baldwin Park is
herein approved, is all that territory situated in the County of Los Angeles,
State of California, more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the most easterly corner of the parcel of land described
in Certificate of Title No. HC-68537 recorded in the office of the
Recorder of the County of Los Angeles; thence along the-southeasterly
line of said parcel of land, South 39 deg. 061 West 581.47 feet; thence
North 50 deg. 541 West to the boundary of the City of Baldwin Park as
same existed on March 9, 1956; thence northeasterly along said boundary::.
and following the same in all its various courses to the point of
beginning.

I, Elmer Cook, being the duly elected and qualified Clerk of the
City of Baldwin Park, do hereby certify that at a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park, held on the 16th day of
April, 1956, at which meeting there were present Councilmen Bloxham,
Cole, Duskin, Taylor and Littlejohn, with none absent, and the Clerk,
that tine foregoing Ordinance, the title of which was read, was intro-
duced and further reading waived by unanimous vote, and that on the 7th
day of May, 1956, the said Ordinance was then passed and adopted as a
whole by the followin?' vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Cole, Duskin, Littlejohn, Scovotti and floxham.
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the
Seal of the City of Baldwin Park, this 7th day of May, 1956.
