AN ORDINANCE OF THEI CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BAIDZ'il: PAHK Ai,1.ZHIING ARTICLE III,
PUBLIC SAFETY, CHAPTER 2, MONS, OF THE
BALD1rTIN PARK MUNICIPAL CODE BY AMENDING
SECTIONS 3200, RECIC STRATI ON OF MONS,
3201, CHANGE O ADDRESS, 3203, PERSONS

THE CITY COUNCIL OF ThF, CITY OF BALDIaN PARK DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
section 1. Sections 3200, 3201, 3203, and 3204 of the Baldwin Park
Municipal Code are hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 3200. Registraticn. of Felons. Every person who has been
convicted in any Federal or State court within ten years prior to the
effective date of the Baldwin Park Municipal Code, or who subsequent
to the effective date of the Baldwin Park Municipal Code is convicted of
any crime punishable as a felony in the state of California, and who comes
into the City o£ Baldwin Park from any point outside of the City, whether
in transit through said City or otherwise, and every such person who, at
the effective date of this secticn of the Baldwin Park Municipal Code, is
residing at present within the city, shall report to the Chief o£ Police of
the City of Baldwin Park within thirty days after his arrival within the
boundaries of the City and shall furnish to the Chief of Police of the City
of Baldwin Park a written statement sued by such person, the true name of
such person and each other name or alias by which such person is or has
been known, a full and complete aescription of himself, the name of each
crime punishable as a felony in the state of California, whether such con-
viction shall have ocurred in the: state of California or in some other
State or Federal court, and he shall also state the name of the place where
such crime was committed, the name under which he was convicted and the
date of the conviction thereof, the name, if any, and the location of each
prison, reformatory or other penal institution in which he shall have been
confined as punishment therefor, together with the location or address of
his residence, stopping place or livinE quarters in said City, and each one
thereof, if any, or the address or location of his intended residence,
stopping place, or living quarters, and each one thereof, with a description
of the character of each such place, whether a hotel, apartment house,
dwelling house, or otherwise, giving the street number thereof, if any, or
such description of the address or location, as will so identify the same as
to make it possible of location and the length of time for which he expects
or intends to reside within the City.
At the time of furnishing such information, said person shall be photo-
graphed and fingerprinted by the Chief of Police of the City of Baldwin Park,
and said photograph and fingerprints shall be made a part of the permanent,
confidential record herein provided for, and the same shall not be open to
inspection by the public or by any person other than a regularly employed
peace or other law enforcement agency of a municipality or State or
Federal governmental agency.
Section 3201. Change of Address. I n the event that any person specified
in the preceding section shall change any place of residence, stopping place,
or living quarters to any new or different place or places within said City
other than any place last shown in said report to the Chief of Police of the
City of Baldwi n Park, he shall within ten days after making such change,
notify said Chief of Police of the City of 3aldwin hark in a written and
signed statement, of such change of address, and shall furnish such written
statement to said Chief of Police of the City of Baldwin Park.
I t shall be unlawful for any person required by any provision of this
section to the Bald-win Park Municipal Code to furnish any such report, to
furnish in such report any false or fictitious address, or any address other
than a true address or intended address, or to furnish in making any such
report, any false, untrue, or misleading information or statement relating
to any information required by any provision of this Code to be made or
furnished.

Section 3203. Persons Exempted. The provisions of this section of
the Baldwin Park Municipal Code relating to the reg sterinL of felons shall
not apply to any person who has received a full pardon for each such crime
whereof he shall have been convicted, nor to any person who, under the prov-
isions of Section 1203.5 of the Penal Code, shall have had his plea of guilty
or his conviction after a plea of not guilty, set aside by a court of law.
Section 3204. Sex ieg stration. Every person convicted of those
sex crimes as enumerated in Section 290 of the Penal Code of the State of
California, must register with the Chief of Police within thirty days of
his coming into the City in the event he shall reside in the City of baldwin
Park or shall be temporarily domiciled within the City of Baldwin Park for
a period of thirty days.
Section 2. Section 3202 of the Baldwin Park Municipal Code is hereby
repealed.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
ordinance and cause the same to be published or posted in the manner required
bylaw, and this ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its adoption.
