AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BALDWIN PARK, AMENDING SECTION 2201 OF THE
BALDWIN PARK MUNICIPAL CODE, CHANGING THE
NUMBER OF THE PLANNING COMMISSIONERS OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK FROMKINE TO SEVEN.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 2201 of the Baldwin Park
Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
2201. Members. Said Planning Commission
shall consisT--o-f even members who shall be
qualified electors of the City who may be per-
sons who hold an office or a position with the
City. Provided, however, that the number of
members of such Commission who are officials of
the City shall not exceed two in number and they
shall have the right to vote. Of the members of
the Commission first appointed hereunder, two
shall be for the term of four years, two for the
term of three years, two for the term of two
years, and one for the term of one year. Their
successors shall be appointed for terms of four
years. If vacancies shall occur, otherwise than
by expiration of term, they shall be filled by
appointment for the unexpired portion of the
term. Members shall be appointed by the Mayor
with the approval or the City Council.."
Section 2. If any section, sub-section, phrase
or portion of this ordinance shall be deemed illegal,
then the whole of said ordinance shall be deemed illegal,
and the same shall fail and have no effect in its entirety.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this ordinance and cause the same to be publish-
ed or posted in the manner required by law, and this ordin-
ance shall take effect thirty 30) days after its adoption.
