AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK, AMENDING
THE MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADDING SECTIONS THERETO WHICH
PROVIDE FOR RABIES VACCINATION OF DOGS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: ADDING SECTIONS TO ibiUNICIPAL CODE.
Part IX is hereby added to Chapter I of Article IV of
the Baldwin Park Municipal Code, the sections of which
shall read as follows:

PART IX RABIES VACCINATION OF DOGS.
4196. Every person keeping, harboring or
having any dog over six months of age in the City
of Baldwin Park shall cause such dog to be vac-
cinated with rabies vaccine by a person licensed
by the State of California to practice veterinary
medicine, on or before the last of the following
dates:
11(a) Two years after vaccination with chick
embryo vaccine.
1(b) One year after vaccination with tissue
phenolized vaccine.
1(c) Fifteen days after first acquiring such
dog.
d) Fifteen days after tine effective date of
this section.
1(e) Fifteen days after bringing such dog into
the City of Baldwin Park.
4196.1. Every person keeping, harboring or
having a dog in the City of Baldwin Park which has
been. vaccinated with chick embryo vaccine shall cause
such dog to be re-vaccinated within a period of not
more than two years after such prior vaccination.
4196.2. Every person keeping, harboring or
having a dog in the City of Baldwin Park which has
been vaccinated with tissue phenolized vaccine shall
cause such dog to be re-vaccinated within a period
of not more than one year after such prior vaccina
tion.

ORD 066ê79wV ×P í W 4196.3. Every person practicing veterinary
medicine in the City of Baldwin Park who vaccinates
a dog with rabies vaccine shall issue to the person
to whom he delivers the dog an original and a dupli-
cate original of a certificate signed by the said
veterinarian which states:
a) The name and address of the owner or
harborer of the vaccinated dog.
b) The kind of vaccine used, the name of
the manufacturer, the manufacturer's serial
or lot number, and the date of vaccination.
tt(c) The breed, age, color and sex of the
vaccinated dog.
11(d) The year and serial number of the license
tag."
SECTION 2: CERTIFICATION AND PUBLICATION..
The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Ordinance and cause the same to be published or posted in
the manner required by law, and this ordinance shall take
effect thirty 30) days after its adoption.
