AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY

THE CITY OF BALDWIN
PARK APPROVING.
THE ANNEXATION OF
CERTAIN TERRITORY
TO THE CITY KNOWN
AS ANNEXATION NO.5.

The City Council of the City
of Baldwin Park does
ordain as follows:
Section 1. Proceedings have
been duly taken, pursuant to
the provisions of the Annexation of
Uninhabited.Territory Act of 1939,
being Article 5, Chapter 1, Part 2,
Division 2, Title 4 of the Govern-
ment Code of California, to annex
the following described property to
the City of Baldwin Park, to wit:
All that territory in the
County of Los Angeles, State of
California, beginning at the
Southerly corner in the boundary
of the City of Baldwin Park,
as same existed on July 15, 1958,
said corner being the intersection
of the Northeasterly line
of Francisquito Avenue, 60
ft. wide, with the Northwesterly
line of Tract No. 21521, as
shown on map recorded in Book 573,
pages 15 and 16, of Maps,
in the office of the Recorder of
the County of Los Angeles; thence
S 480 07' E on the South-
easterly prolongation of the
Northeasterly line of said Fran-
cisquito Avenue, 85.50 ft., more or
less, to a line that is
parallel with, and 411.36
ft. Northwesterly measured at right
angles from the Southeasterly line
of Lot 26, El Monte Walnut
Place, as shown on ma recorded
in Book 6, page 104, of said
Maps; thence S 410 53p' W
on said parallel line, 360.00 ft.;
thence S 480 07' E, 108.00
Feet; thence S 410 53' W, 125.00
feet; thence S 480 07' E,
303.36 feet to the Southeasterly
line of said Lot 26; thence
N 410 53' E on said Southeasterly
line, 425.00 ft. to the
Southwesterly line of said Francis-
quito Ave.; thence N 480
07' W on said Southwesterly line,
410.36 feet; thence N 410 53'
E, 61.00 feet; thence N 480 07'
W, 86.50 feet, more or less,
to the existing boundary of said
City of Baldwin Park;
thence Southwesterly on said boundary,
1.00 ft. to the point
of beginning.
Section 2. Said territory
is hereby designated as Annexation
No. 5."
Section 3. The City
Clerk shall immediately on the effective
date of this ordinance prepare under seal
of the City a certified copy
of the ordinance, giving the date of
its passage, and transmit it to
the Secretary of State of the State
of California.
Section 4. From the date
of filing by the Secretary of State,
the annexation of said territory to the
City of Baldwin Park shall be
complete and thereafter said annexed territory
shall be for all purposes
a part of the City of Baldwin Park.

ORD 098ê79wV ×P ç 3 Section 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published or posted
as required by law. This ordinance shall take effect thirty days
after its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 29th day of December, 1958.
