AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION
OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY,
DESIGNATED ANNEXA'T'ION N0. 6" TO THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BALDWIN PARK:
WHEREAS, on the 8th day of September, 1959, the
City Council of the City of Baldwin Park did pass and adopt
Resolution No. 59-99 giving notice of the proposal to annex
certain uninhabited territory to the City of Baldwin Park,
said territory being therein designated as Annexation No. 6,"
said Resolution describing the boundaries of the territory
proposed to be annexed; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 59-99 did contain a
notice of the day, hour and place when and where the Council
of the City would hear protests made by any person owning
real property within the territory proposed to be annexed,
the time of said hearing being not less than forty nor more
than sixty days from the date of passage of said Resolution;
and
WHEREAS, on the 2d day of November, 1959, at the
hour of 8:00 P.M., in the Council Chambers in the City Hall
of the City of Baldwin Park, County of Los Angeles, State of
California, said time and place being the day, hour and place
fixed in said Resolution No. 59-99 for hearing protests to
the said annexation, the said City Council did hear and pass
upon all protests made to the proposed annexation and did
determine that protests had not been made by the owners of
one-half of the value of the privately owned territory pro-
posed to be annexed as shown by the last equalized assess-
ment roll, nor by public owners of one-half of the value of
the publicly owned territory proposed to be annexed as deteiL
mined by said legislative body; and
WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City
of Baldwin Park and is uninhabited territory in the County

NOW, THEREFORE, the said City Council of the City
of Baldwin Park does hereby approve the annexation of the
territory hereinafter described to the City of Baldwin Park
and does hereby further ordain that the said territory be
and is hereby annexed to the City of Baldwin Park.
That said territory, the annexation of which to
the City of Baldwin Park is herein approved, is all that
territory situate in the County of Los Angeles, State of
California, more particularly described as follows;
Beginning at a point in the boundary of the
City of Baldwin Park, as same existed on August
5, 1959, said point being distant thereon South
51° 30t 00" East 57.19 feet from the most west-
erly corner of the parcel of land conveyed to
the State of California by deed recorded August
16, 1956 in Book 52044, page 156 of Official
Records, in the office of the Recorder of the
County of Los Angeles; thence South 31° 051 38"
East 38.00 feet; thence South 35° lot 00" East
46.17 feet to a point on a curve, concave south-
erly and having a radius of 45 feet, in the boun-
dary of Tract No. 19500 as shown on map recorded
in Book 5320 pages 39 to 43 inclusive of Maps, in
the office of said recorder; thence from a tangent
bearing South 87° 071 07" West, westerly and south-
westerly along said curve through an angle of 33°
15t 15" an arc distance of 26.12 feet to a point
of reverse curve; thence southwesterly and west-
erly along a tangent curve in said last mentioned
boundary, concave northerly and having a radius
of 72 feet, through an angle of 59. 121 21"'an
are distance of 74.40 feet to the most easterly
corner of the parcel of land conveyed to the
State of California by deed recorded June 22, 1956
in Book 51532, page 401 of said Official Records;
thence from a tangent bearing North 29° 351 56"
East, northeasterly, northerly and northwesterly
along a curve concave westerly and having a radius
of 117.86 feet, through an angle of 71° 111 02"
an arc distance of 146.43 feet; thence North 51°
461 45" West 179.96 feet; thence northwesterly and
westerly along a tangent curve, concave south-
westerly and having a radius of 266.00 feet,
through an angle of 31° 061 07" an arc distance
of 144.39 feet; thence North 79° 56, 02" East
53.78 feet to a point in the boundary of said
city distant northwesterly thereon 49.25 feet from
the most southerly corner of the parcel of land
conveyed to the State of California by deed recorded
October 20, 1943, in Book 20347, page 217 of said
official Records; thence southeasterly along said
last mentioned boundary to the point of beginning.
