AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK INCREASING
THE PRIMA FACIE SPEED LIMIT ON OLIVE
STREET AND LOS ANGELES STREET
WHEREAS, Olive Street and Los Angeles Street, in
the City of Baldwin Park, extend through a residential
area of the City and have a prima facie speed limit of
twenty-five 25) miles per hour under Section 22352(b)
of the State Vehicle Code; and
WHEREAS, an engineering and traffic survey in-
dicates that a speed of 35 miles per hour would facilitate
the orderlj movement of vehicular traffic and would be
reasonable and safe,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Baldwin Park does ordain as follows:
Section 1. Section 3380 of the Baldwin Park
Municipal Code is amended by adding the following streets
and prima facie speed limits thereto:
NAME OF STREET OR DECLARED PRIMA
PORTION AFFECTED FACIE SPEED LIMIT
Los Angeles Street from
the west to the east
city limits 35 miles per hour
Olive Street from the
west to the east
city limits 35 miles per hour.
Section 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this ordinance and cause it to be published
as required by law. This ordinance shall become effec-
tive thirty days after the date of its adoption.
ADOPTED by the City Council, signed by the
Mayor, and attested by the City Clerk this 18th
day of January 19
