AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK AMEND-
ING CHAPTER 4, ARTICLE III OF THE
BALDWIN PARK MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING
TO BICYCLES TO PROVIDE FOR ADMINIS-
TRATION BY THE CHIEF OF POLICE
INSTEAD OF THE SHERIFF AND CITY CLERK.
The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does
ordain as follows:
Section 1. That Chapter 4, Article III of the
Baldwin Park Municipal Code is amended as follows:
1) Chief of Police shall be substituted for
Sheriff or CitZ Clerk," City Clerk or Sheriff,"
Sheriff," and City Clerk" wherever said titles are
used in said chapter.
2) The last paragraph of Section 3405 is deleted.
3) Section 3406 is amended to read as follows:
3406. Any person who registers a.bicycle in
another jurisdiction prior to moving to the City of
Baldwin Park shall not be required to comply with the
provisions of this chapter until January 1st of the fol-
lowing year or the expiration of such registration,
whichever is sooner.
4) Section 3407 is amended by deleting the last
sentence and adding a new paragraph thereto to read as
follows:
The Chief of Police shall not later than
November 1st of each year, requisition through the
Department of Finance sufficient registration certifi-
cates and metallic license plates for issuance in the
forthcoming year."
Section 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this ordinance and cause it to be published as
required by law. This ordinance shall become effective thirty
days after the date of its adoption.
ADOPTED by the City Council, signed by the Mayor,
and attested by the City Clerk this ist day of
February 1960.
