AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF
CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY, DESIGNATED
ANNEXATION NO. 7" TO THE CITY OF BALDWIN
PARK.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BALDWIN PARK:
WHEREAS, on the 4th day of January, 1960, the City
Council of the City of Baldwin Park did pass and adopt
Resolution No. 60-2, giving notice of the proposal to an-
nex certain uninhabited territory to the City of Baldwin
Park, said territory, being therein designated as Annexa-
tion No. 7," said Resolution describing the boundaries of
the territory proposed to be annexed; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 60-2 did contain a
notice of the day, hour and place when and where the Council
of the City would hear protests made by any person owning
real property within the territory proposed to be annexed,
the time of said hearing being not less than forty nor
more than sixty days from the date of passage of said Reso-
lution; and
WHEREAS, on the l t t day of March 1960, at the
hour of 8:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers in the City
Hall of the City of Baldwin Park, County of Los Angeles,
State of California, said time and place being the day,
hour and place fixed in said Resolution No. 60-2 for hear-
ing protests to the said annexation, the said City Council
did hear and pass upon all protests made to the proposed
annexation and did determine that protests had not been
made by the owners of one-half of the value of the pri-
vately owned territory proposed to be annexed as shown by
the last equalized assessment roll, nor by public owners
of one-half of the value of the publicly owned territory
proposed to be annexed as determined by said legislative
body; and

Baldwin Park, and is uninhabited territory in the County of
Los Angeles;
NOW, THEREFORE, the said City Council of the City of
Baldwin Park does hereby approve the annexation of the ter-
ritory hereinafter described to the City of Baldwin Park,
and does hereby further ordain that the said territory be
and is hereby annexed to the City of Baldwin Park.
That said territory, the annexation of which to the
City of Baldwin Park is herein approved, is all that terri-
tory situate in the County of Los Angeles, State of Cali-
fornia, more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the most southerly corner of Lot
178 of Tract No. 20533, as shown on map recorded in
Book 540, pages 28 to 30, inclusive, of Maps, in the
office of the Recorder of the County of Los Angeles;
thence southwesterly in a direct line to the most
southerly corner of Lot 185 of said tract; thence
southeasterly in a direct line through the most
easterly corner of Lot 194 of said tract to the
center line of Puente Avenue, as said center line is
shown on said map; thence northeasterly along said
center line to the northwesterly prolongation of the
northeasterly line of Lot 173 of Tract No. 20949, as
shown on map recorded in Book 573, pages 36 to 39,
inclusive, of said Maps; thence southeasterly along
said prolongation and continuing southeasterly along
the boundary of said last mentioned tract to an angle
point in the boundary of the City of Baldwin Park,
as same existed on December 1, 1959; thence north-
easterly, northwesterly, northeasterly and north-
westerly along said last mentioned boundary to the
northeasterly prolongation of the straight line por-
tion of the northwesterly line of Lot 176 of said
Tract No. 20533; thence southwesterly along said
last mentioned prolongation and straight line portion
and the southwesterly prolongation thereof to the
northwesterly prolongation of the southwesterly line
of said Lot 178; thence southeasterly in a direct
line to the point of beginning.
ADOPTED by the City Council, signed by the Mayor,
and attested by the City Clerk this 4th
day of April 1960.
