AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK CON-
SENTING TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF
A PORTION OF LIVE OAK AVENUE AS
A COUNTY HIGHWAY AND TO THE
IMPROVEMENT THEREOF.
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County
of Los Angeles adopted, a resolution on March 8, 1960,
declaring Live Oak Avenue, between Rivergrade Road and
approximately 800 feet easterly of and on Rivergrade
Road from Live Oak Avenue to approximately 450 feet
southerly, to be a County highway and declaring the in-
tention of the County to improve the same; and
WHEREAS, the consent of the City of Baldwin
Park is required pursuant to Section 1701 of the Streets
and Highways Code,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Baldwin Park does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City
of Baldwin Park consents to the inclusion of said portion
of Live Oak Avenue as a part of the system of highways of
the County of Los Angeles and to the improvement thereof
by said County in the manner proposed by said resolution
of the Board of Supervisors.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this ordinance and cause it to be published
as required by law, and shall transmit a certified copy
thereof to the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los
Angeles. This ordinance shall become effective thirty
days after the date of its adoption.
