The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does
ordain as follows:
Section 1. That a new section, designated Sec-
tion 3377.1 is added to the Baldwin Park Municipal Code,
to read as follows:
3377.1 Vehicles Weighing Over 6 000 Lbs. Prohibited
From Using Cer In ee
a) Streets Designated. The following streets
and parts of"streets streets are hereby declared to be streets
the use of which is prohibited by any vehicle exceeding
a maximum gross weight limit of 6,000 lbs.

Baldwin Park Blvd. from Ramona to Francisquito

b) City Engineer to Erect Signs_. The City Engineer
shall erect and main appropriate signs indicating the
streets affected by this section.
c) Exemption. The provisions of this section shall
not:
1) Apply to any vehicle which is subject to
the provisions of Sections 1031 to 1036, inclusive,
of the Public Utilities Code of the State of Calif-
ornia;
2) Prohibit any commercial vehicle coming from
an unrestricted street having ingress and egress by
direct route to and from a restricted street when
necessary for the purpose of making pickups or deliv-
eries of goods, wares, and merchandise from or to any
building or structure located on the restricted street
or for the purpose of delivering materials to be used
in the acutal and bona fide repair, alteration, remod-
eling, or construction of any building or structure
upon the restricted street for which a building permit
has previously been obtained.
3) Apply to any vehicle owned by a public
utility or a licensed contractor while necessarily
in use in the construction, installation or repair
of any public utility.
Section 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this ordinance and cause it to be published as required
by law. This ordinance shall become effective thirty days after
the date of its adoption.

ADOPTED BY the City Council, signed by the Mayor, and
attested by the City Clerk this 6th day of February 1961.
