AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK AMEND-
ING THE BALDWIN PARK MUNICIPAL
CODE TO PROHIBIT MOTOR VEHICLES
EXCEEDING 6,000 LBS. FROM USING
CERTAIN CITY STRms, AND REPEAL-
ING AND RESCINDING ORDINANCE NO.
162 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
3HCTION 1, Section 3377 of the Baldwin Park Municipal Code
is hereby amended to read as follows'
3377, Commercial Vehicles Prohibited from Using Certain
Streets,
a) Whenever this Code designates and describes
any street or portion thereof, as a street, the use
of which is permitted by any vehicle exceeding a
maximum gross weight limit of 6,000 lbs., the City
Engineer shall install and maintain along and upon
such streets, appropriate signs giving notice of
such restriction. Streets so designated, shall be
referred to as truck routes",
b) When any such truck route or routes are es-
tablished and designated by appropriate signs, the
operator of any vehicle exceeding a maximum gross
weight limit of 6,000 lbs, shall drive on such
route or routes and none other, except that nothing
in this section shall prohibit the operator of any
vehicle exceeding a maximum gross weight of 6,000
lbs. coming from a truck route" having ingress
and egress by direct route to and from restricted
streets when necessary for the purpose of making
pickups or deliveries of goods, waxes and merchandise
from or to any building or structure located on such
restricted streets or for the purpose of delivering
materials to be used on the actual and bona fide
repair, alteration,_remodeling or construction of any

for which a building permit has previously been
obtained therefor.
c) The provisions of this section shall not
apply to 1) passenger buses under the jurisdiction
of the Public Utilities Commission, or to 2) any
vehicles owned by a public utility while necessarily
in use in the construction, installation or repair of
any public utility,
d) The following streets and portion of streets
are hereby declared to be truck routes for the
movement of motor vehicles exceeding maximum gross
weight of 6,000 ibs,i
1) Rivergrade Road at all points
within the City,
2) That portion of Ramona Boule..
vard lying northerly of the
Pacific Electric Railroad tracks
between the easterly City limits
and Maine Avenue,
3) That portion of Ramona Boulevard
lying southerly of said Paci ic
Electric Railroad tracks between
Maine Avenue and the westerly
City limits,
4) Badillo Street at all points with-
in the City,
S) Puente Avenue between Merced Avenue
and the southerly City limits,
6) Puente Avenue between Ramona Boule-
vard and Badillo Street,
7) Baldwin Park Boulevard between San
Bernardino Freeway and southerly
City limits,
8) Ramona Boulevard south of the
Pacific Electric Railroad tracks
between its intersection with
Badillo Street. and Maine Avenue,
9) Francisquito southeast of Puente
Avenue t o City limits,
SECTICN 2, Ordinance No. 162 of the City Council of Baldwin
Park, adopted on February 6, 1961, is hereby repealed and rescinded as

SECTION 3, The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this ordinance and publish the same in the manner prescribed by
law.
ADOPTED by the City Council, signed by the Mayor, and
