AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK CONSENTING
TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A PORTION OF
SAN BERNARDINO ROAD AS A COUNTY HIGH-
WAY AND TO THE IMPROVEMENT THEREOF.
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County
of Los Angeles adopted a resolution on November 7, 1961,
declaring San Bernardino Road, between Rivergrade Road
and approximately 125 feet easterly of Rivergrade Road,
to be a County highway and declaring the intention of the
County to improve the same; and
WHEREAS, the consent of the City of Baldwin Park
is required pursuant to Section 1701 of the Streets and
Highways Code;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Baldwin Park does ordain as follows:
Section l. That the City Council of the City of
Baldwin Park consents to the inclusion of said portion of
San Bernardino Road as a part of the system of highways of
the County of Los Angeles and to the improvement thereof
by said County in the manner proposed by said resolution
of the Board of Supervisors.
Section 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this ordinance and cause it to be published as
required by law, and shall transmit a certified copy thereof
to the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles.
This ordinance shall become effective thirty days after the
date of its adoption.
ADOPTED by the City Council, signed by the Mayor, and
attested by the City Clerk, this 2~Lday of 2J
1961.
