AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK ESTABLISHING
THE PRIMA FACIE SPEED LIMIT ON SIERRA
MADRE AVENUE FROM RAMONA BOULEVARD TO
ARROW HIGHWAY.
WHEREAS, Sierra Madre Avenue, from Ramona Boulevard
to Arrow Highway in the City of Baldwin Park, extends through
an unregulated area of the City and has a maximum speed limit
of sixty-five 65) miles per hour under Sections 22349 and
22358 of the State Vehicle Code; and
WHEREAS, an engineering and traffic survey indicates
that a speed of thirty-five 35) miles per hour would facilitate
the orderly movement of vehicular traffic and would be more
reasonable and safe.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Baldwin Park does ordain as follows:
Section 1. Section 3381 of the Baldwin Park Muni-
cipal Code is amended by adding the following street and
prima facie speed limit thereto:

Sierra Madre Avenue from
Ramona Boulevard to Arrow 35 miles per hour
Highway
Section 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this ordinance and cause it to be published as re-
quired by law. This ordinance shall become effective thirty days
after the date of its adoption.
ADOPTED by the City Council, signed by the Mayor,
and attested by the City Clerk this 19th day of March 1962.
